The Hridayesh Resorts

Delhi doesn’t let go easily. Even on a long weekend, it follows you in the group chats, the open browser tabs, the reflexive phone-checking every twenty minutes.

The Hridayesh Resort is one of those places designed to end that habit. Nestled in the heart of Jim Corbett, with the Kosi River running alongside the property and the jungle beginning where the lawns end, the resort doesn’t just offer a change of scenery. It offers a change of pace one that most guests don’t realise they needed until they’re already in it.

This is what a full day here actually looks like.

7:00 AM First Light on the Kosi

Before the resort stirs, the river does. From the Riverside Luxury Villas 1,000 sq ft of space with direct views of the Kosi the sound of water is the first thing you register. No traffic. No notifications. Just the river moving through the treeline.

Most guests who book these villas say the same thing: they woke up before their alarm for the first time in months. They step out to the view and stay there longer than they intended.

The resort grounds are yours at this hour. The air is cool, the light is low, and the birdlife around the Kosi is at its most active. Walk the lawns or simply sit with your coffee before the day begins.

8:00 AM Breakfast at Unwind

The resort restaurant, Unwind, opens onto the pool and surrounding greenery through expansive bay windows. It is an 86 Seating, all-day dining restaurant with interiors accented in wood and stone designed to feel like it belongs to the landscape, not in contrast to it.

Breakfast here is an open show kitchen experience. The kitchen is visible, the cooking is live you can watch your meal being prepared from your table. The menu moves across European, Pan-Asian, Indian, and Fusion cuisine, served in a pre-plated format. If you are the kind of traveller who usually eats breakfast quickly, you will find yourself slowing down here.

10:00 AM Into Jim Corbett

Jim Corbett National Park is one of India’s oldest and most celebrated wildlife reserves home to Bengal tigers, elephants, leopards, deer, and over 600 species of birds. Jeep safaris into the park are the centrepiece of most visits.

The resort can assist with safari planning and arrangements for guests who need guidance on zones, timings, and booking procedures. Safari permit availability varies by zone and season if a Corbett visit is central to your trip, it is worth planning this in advance of your stay rather than after arrival.

For guests who prefer to stay closer to the property, the Kosi riverbed and surrounding area are themselves rich with birdlife, and a morning walk along the river requires no permits and no planning.

1:00 PM The Pause

After a morning outdoors, the resort pulls you back into its quiet. The rooms at Hridayesh are built for this moment the Royal Suite runs to 1,500 sq ft across two bedrooms and two bathrooms, large enough that returning to your room feels like returning to a private space, not just a place to sleep.

The swimming pool is open, the spa is available for those who want a treatment, and the gym is there for guests who prefer to stay active. Most guests, on day one at least, do none of these things. They sit. They read. They watch the light move across the lawns. That is, in itself, the point.

2:00 PM Lunch at Unwind

Unwind shifts into lunch service without missing a beat. The same poolside setting, the same open kitchen, the same unhurried pace but the light by early afternoon turns the bay windows into something closer to a painting.

The menu covers European, Pan-Asian, Indian, and Fusion cuisine. For guests on the full-board (APAI) plan, lunch is included. For those on other plans, it is available a la carte. Either way, it is not a meal to rush.

4:00 PM Evening Tea, Conversation, and Elixir

The bar at the resort is called Elixir and it is genuinely worth making time for before dinner rather than treating as an afterthought. The interiors are warm wood and stone, with a country-style drawing room aesthetic and a regal staircase that sets a mood distinct from anything you will find in the city.

The drinks list covers signature cocktails, premium single malts, curated wines from Old- and New-World producers, and an extensive range of Indian and imported spirits. It is the kind of bar where an intended one drink becomes two because the conversation flows and nobody checks the time.

Alternatively, evening tea on the lawns as the light softens is its own ritual one that many guests at nature resorts describe as the moment the trip really settles in.

5:30 PM Sunset over the Corbett Canopy

The Corbett foothills do something specific at sunset. The canopy catches the last light differently than flat landscapes layers of green, then gold, then a deep orange that holds for longer than you expect.

The resort’s position along the Kosi means the riverbank is an option for those who want to be outdoors for it. Others stay on the lawns. The Riverside Villa guests tend to watch from their private verandah, which frames the view without interruption.

However you choose to spend this hour, it is the one guests most consistently mention when they describe what made the trip.

7:30 PM Dinner

Unwind’s evening service is the most considered dining experience of the day. The same restaurant, but the atmosphere shifts the lighting changes, the setting feels more deliberate, and the pace slows further.

The menu spans the full range of European, Pan-Asian, Indian, and Fusion cuisine. The open show kitchen remains on full display. For guests celebrating a honeymoon, anniversary, or any milestone, this is the meal to dress for the setting does the rest.

9:00 PM The Night Sky, Without Light Pollution

The Corbett region sits well outside the light pollution envelope of any major city. On a clear night and clear nights here are common the sky above the resort reveals more than most guests are used to seeing.

There is no formal activity attached to this hour. Guests who want to sit outside do. The gaming lounge is available for those who prefer indoors. The bar is still open.

Most guests, by this point, have already stopped checking their phones. Not because they made a decision to but because the resort made it unnecessary.
